The Australian Rules Football (AFL) Grand Final was yesterday, and I was in Melbourne with Aaron and Joy to watch the match at an outdoor theatre (see photo at link below). In the week since I got here, I've mostly just been meeting with friends/former housemates (Lucy, Mikey, Jody, Aaron) and taking it rather easy. I took two days to refamiliarize myself with Melbourne and had a good time, but I'm ready to move on to new experiences. Thus, I'm looking to fly up to Sydney in a few days and have a look around. Most of all though, I'm really looking forward to seeing the Blue Mountains which are to the west of the city.
It's looking more and more likely that I'll make my way up the coast in the next few weeks, eventually winding up in northern Queensland. If money permits, I'll make the trip over to Darwin and Kakadu national park, but that's no certainty.
And finally, things in Thailand look to be rather peaceful. As of right now, I'm still planning to make it there in January. Fingers crossed!
Oh, and I'll be posting photos of my travels regularly, so keep an eye on the following link:
